Tour Features

The third installment of the Kyoto Underworld Mystery Tour series!

What traces remain of the dreams and tragedies of Sengoku‑era warlords in the mystical capital of Kyoto?
Some were betrayed and saw their ambitions for unifying the nation crumble.
Others were abandoned by the times and descended into madness in their final years.
Was it fate—or inevitability?

This tour explores Kyoto during the Sengoku and Azuchi‑Momoyama periods, focusing on the warlord most deeply connected to the city: Toyotomi Hideyoshi.
You’ll learn about the fateful relationship between Hideyoshi and Tokugawa Ieyasu, the temple bell that sparked a major conflict, and temples where the scars of war remain vividly today.

Step into Kyoto’s historical “underworld” and uncover the stories hidden behind the era’s greatest figures.

Other versions of this tour include the Onmyoji Edition and Underworld Edition—choose the one that matches your interests.
