Tour Features

The second installment of the Kyoto Underworld Mystery Tour series!

In Kyoto, there is a time of year said to be the most crowded—not with the living, but with “unseen residents.”
This tour takes you to the entrance to the underworld in ancient Heian‑kyō.

Heian‑kyō had roads associated with the dead.
At the boundary between this world and the next—the “Underworld Gate”—the welcoming bell would ring, signaling the start of the procession of spirits entering the capital.

Let’s explore the places in Kyoto where traces of this world and the afterlife still remain.

We will guide you through the mysterious Kyoto rarely mentioned in guidebooks.

Other versions of this tour include the Onmyoji Edition and Sengoku Edition.
